Dr McDevitte has now left to work in Durham - we wish her well and are actively seeking a replacement.
If you wish to make a complaint, please ask to speak to the Office Manager or the Practice Manager (a copy of the practice complaints procedure is available from reception)
You will be treated with respect and as a partner in your care. Being a partner means you have responsibilities too.
The medical staff will advise and inform you of the steps you can take to promote good health and a healthy lifestyle. We would respectfully ask that you:
As patients, you are responsible for your own health and that of any dependents. It is important that you adhere to information and advice given to you by health professionals, and co-operate with the practice in endeavouring to keep you healthy.
The NHS operates a Zero Tolerance Policy with regard to violence and abuse and the Practice has the right to remove violent patients from the list with immediate effect in order to safeguard practice staff, patients and other persons.
Violence in this context includes actual or threatened physical violence or verbal abuse which leads to fear for a person’s safety. In this situation we are obliged to notify the patient in writing of their removal from the list and record in the patient's medical records the fact of the removal and circumstances leading to it. NHS England is then responsible for providing further medical care for such patients. We will also inform the Police and prosecute whenever possible.
